So this is how September went: I took the last week of August and the first 5 days of September off poker. I started on Sept 6th immediately playing 16 tables on the 30inch screen with the stars lobby and staging tables on the 24 inch screen to the left. For the record I tried stacking tables as many mass tablers do and hated it - I'm tiling all the way. I immediately got off to a rocky start playing bad and running under EV. After about a week or so I was able to get in a better groove and play better the rest of the month. My game still has a long way to go to being a 0.5 to 1 ptbb/100 winner mass tabling 100nl 6max. I feel like Im at about break even now despite booking a -25 buyin month (-10 buyins in $EV). I played 130K hands in 107.2 hours for 1,210 hands per hour. I started off 16 tabling but would often fall to around 12 tables and would be too involved to bring up new tables right away. Unfortunately HEM doesnt have a MT ratio stat that Im aware of. I earned 42,335 vpps about 0.326 vpp/hand . So including fpp bonuses I broke almost exactly even for the month. I'm not thrilled about it by not bothered either. It was my first real month trying it and getting back on the grind after an extended poker break is tough. I also had to adjust to using tableninja which took a couple days. I ran at 19.1/16.6/3.2. I also worked a fair bit on my game, posting in the forum a ton on DC, and getting video reviews done by Hielko and SGB5000. My fundamentals need to be more solid for me to pull this off.

So my general game plan for SNE 2011 is to start off on pace to get SNE in 10 months and hold this pace for the first 6 months. That way if I need to take some time off to enjoy the summer and fight burnout I can take 1 month off over July - August to juice up my grinding batteries and get back at it full force in September to finish at the end of November. I don't want to be grinding down to the wire over the Christmas holidays, I will if necessary ofcouse but want to avoid that by giving my self a bit of a cushion. So to get SNE in 10 months at 100 nl 6max I need to play 3,067,000 hands or 307K hands per month assuming 0.326 vpp/hand. I plan to "work" 25 days per month meaning I have to average 12.25K hands per day. If I want to work 6 hours per day that's 2050 hands per hour. If I extend it to 7 hours that's 1750 hands per hour. This past month I probably average around 13-14 tables and got 1200 hands per hour. So if I can get up to averaging 20 tables I should be able to average the 1750 hands per hour I need for a 7 hour work day. If I can get up to 24 tables I should be able to average 2K hands/hour I need for a 6 hour workday.
So the goal for October is to make the transition from my 16 tables tile set up to the 20 table tile set up on the 30 inch. This is basically the max - I will never be able to tile 24 tables on the 30inch screen as they would be too small - to 24 table I would have to go 20 tables on the big screen and 4 + lobby on small screen. I would also like to get in a minimum of 120 hours at the tables. Well see how this goes and see how many hands per hour I can get and how many vpps I can earn.
