I completed the 20K hands of 100nl I set out to do. I was trying out some of the adjustments I wanted to work in. I went a little overboard in some cases, my overall aggession for this sample is like 4.7. So I still need to recalibrate and work in alot of tweaks here and there.
Leakbuster has shown me that I have 3 big leaks - too aggressive on flop, not aggressive enough on turn, and very bad river call efficiency. These leaks are are related to one another in various ways and are really one big problem - by fixing one I should natuarally see an improvent in the other two, although I will be working at this and tying to fix all angles at once. The just of it goes like this - With some hands we can decide to bring the aggression on the flop or turn, ie we have weak top pair vs an aggro villian - both cbetting flop and checking back to delay cbet or induce are both viable options. My problem is that I choose the aggressive flop action way more than is optimal in these two-way spots. Because I use up these hands on the flop I don't have enough hands in my range to have decent turn aggression - making me too passive on the turn. This leads me to getting to the river too much without the inititve making it harder to read hands which leads to more paranoid calls and a crap river call efficiency.
So above is the general problem. Leak buster has narrowed down certain areas of this problem for me to work on in more detail. ie the specific hands im making the bad river calls with or the speicific type of hands I shouldn't be playing aggro on the flop etc. Im hoping that as I work on this my ugly redline improves, it should as I work to dump weak hands that have little chance to SD a street earlier than I have been, and stop making bad 4bet bluffs. There are also a few other minor leaks that arn't really related to this big problem, Im not too worried about them but will be mindul of them as I go forward.
So I got some confindece back. Im definitly playing better than I was at the start of the month. I still need to put a ton of work into my game and continue to look for things I wasn't seeing before. For now Im going back to 200nl - I got 10 buyins before I would have to drop to 100nl due to bankroll rules. Kind of exciting to see if I can build this back to a more stable 200nl roll. Im going to bring my A game, try to mostly play just 6 tables, and focus on these new spots.
